Taina Piira

After performing the roles of Waltraute and 3rd Norn in Götz Friedrich´s new production of the Ring at the Finnish National Opera Helsinki Ms Piira celebrated a resounding success in 1999 with her depiction of Magda Sorel in Menotti´s Konsul at extremely short notice. In the same season she also made her debut as Sieglinde in Die Walküre at the FNO.
