Patricia O'Callaghan has a problem: she can't fake
it. Not for a single second, not for a single sound. Of course there
is that terrible old cliché, a chauvinist one actually, that
suggests that during the most intimate, the most sensual moments
some people really do fake it. They make all the right sounds, say
all the right words, but behind everything there's nothing. It's
an act. Maybe life would be easier for Patricia O'Callaghan if she
could do that, sing the love songs of Leonard Cohen and Kurt Weill
without being so dangerously vulnerable, so nakedly honest.
