In 1999, Cornelia was elected music director and conductor of the Operetta Theater of Möriken for a production of Franz Von Suppé's Boccaccio. She was the youngest director and first woman to hold that position in the theater's 120-year history. And in 1996, Laemmli had the distinction of being the youngest person in the school's history to be elected a full-tenure faculty member of the Canton of Zurich.
