| Anna Moffo was born in Pennsylvania
to Italian-American parents. She studied voice in Philadelphia at
the Curtis Institute and later in Rome at Accademia di Santa Cecilia. While a student in Rome, in her free time, she played hockey for the Italian National Women's Hockey Team. |
