| In June 1998 Alice emerged from retirement to perform in the grand finale concert of the Texaco Jazz Festival at Town Hall in New York. She performed with her son, Ravi Coltrane. The remainder of the concert featured Ravi Shankar, after whom John and Alice had named their son. |
